Collecting and assembling our story. We need help with:

• Interviewing generations of GEMS – the legacy of faith and Titus 2 principle passed on from mother to daughter to granddaughter

• Interviewing senior pastors and members of the congregation to collect their positive “feelings” about the GEMS ministry

Sharing the news. We need help with:

• Creating posters that tell our story. Photos taken long ago or more recently are needed along with information telling about each photo. Photos of all kinds – girls and counselors and events are all needed.

• Create a timeline with photos. Here again, photos taken long ago or more recently are
  needed along with information telling about each photo. Photos of all kinds – girls and counselors and events are all needed.

• Get sponsors to support projects. Many of the items that will be printed could be printed courtesy of a donor – individual donor or a business. For some businesses, this would be a great way to get their name out in front of 5,300 – 45,000 consumers! Send us contact information and we will call these prospective donors.

Celebrating! We need help with:

• At our leadership conference in the summer of 2008 we will enjoy viewing a vintage style show – GEMS fashions through the ages! If you have old uniforms and/or old girls or counselors clothing items that represent all 5 decades of GEMS history, please send it to us. We promise to use it with care and return it immediately following the conference.

• Stories/photos will be needed for SHINE brightly and Sparkle magazines telling the story of faith being passed down from mother to daughter to granddaughter through GEMS. Please let us hear from you if you have such stories to share.

• Special events that can take place locally, regionally, and/or at the national level at conference. If you have any ideas of ways to celebrate God’s faithfulness throughout the generations, please let us know.
