More Information About GEMS

At GEMS, we encourage girls everywhere to come to club, learn about Jesus, and grow closer to Him.

GEMS Girls’ Clubs offers programming for girls as young as preschool and continues through eighth grade (read about the program levels). High school aged girls are also involved in GEMS through a leadership development program for Counselors-in-Training or CITs.

Identified as the best “side-door” ministry to the church, GEMS will help your church or Christian organization grow as girls invite their parents and friends to get involved in one of our many family events.

The Annual Theme

Another exciting component of GEMS Girls' Clubs is the annual theme study. Each year, a Scripture passage is selected and a theme is developed around that Scripture to make the passage come alive for the girls. Bible studies, service projects, crafts, games, and other fun activities are created to teach the truth of God's Word that is found in the theme. The culmination of the theme study and activities is the earning of a badge. The theme for the 2007-2008 season is Abba I Belong to You.

Leadership Training

Yet another very important part of what GEMS Girls' Clubs has to offer is training for leaders. Because our counselors – leaders - are so valued and important to the overall effectiveness of the program, many types of training opportunities are offered across the continent each year to help prepare, equip, motivate, and encourage women in their all-important work with girls. To receive a complimentary Promotional Packet including: recent issues of SHINE brightly and Sparkle Magazines, a booklet on Starting and Organizing a GEMS Girls' Club, a ministry brochure, a Supply Catalog, a Membership Application, and other helpful informational items contact the GEMS Girls' Clubs Service Center and simply request a Promo Packet.

A Curriculum Review Packet can also be purchased from the Service Center for a fee of $75.00 US or $110.00 Canadian. Upon receipt of a Membership Application, one half of this amount will be credited to your new club account and all materials are yours to keep. Otherwise, this fee will be refunded if the full packet is returned in saleable condition within 30 days. Look for the Curriulum Review Packet in The Store.

* SHINE brightly Magazine, Sparkle Magazine, Finishing Touches!, and Kingdom Kids Year I & II are the only curriculum items that are available for purchase without membership in a club.

GEMS Girls' Clubs is one of three ministries incorporated in an organization called Dynamic Youth Ministries. Cadets is the companion ministry for boys, and Youth Unlimited is the co-ed ministry for high school youth.
